My name is Shiemaa and I am from the United States. Before coming to Japan, I lived in Spain, where I taught English for three and a half years. I moved to Japan in order to learn the Japanese language, experience the culture and further my career as an English teacher. I am a co-teacher of Star class and I am passionate about working with this age group as kindergarten students are motivated, curious and highly inquisitive. Before working at Summerhill, I worked as a substitute teacher at various International schools in Tokyo.

During my free time, I love traveling and learning new languages. I also enjoy gardening, yoga, reading, and going on walks or cycling through my neighborhood.
It is a great pleasure to be a part of the Summerhill team and to welcome students to our learning environment.
