Our graduates are competent and capable inquirers, confident in their abilities and with a strong sense of self-esteem. They are empowered to ask questions, to form their own theories, test out their hypotheses, and evaluate their results. They are reflective of their actions and have an excitement and passion about creating their own learning journeys.
During their time at Summerhill, our graduates experience a broad range of learning opportunities and challenges. Through real-life experiences, they develop a foundation of independence, problem-solving, and other life skills that support them beyond the classroom. They leave Summerhill ready to take on new challenges and often secure a place at their first-choice primary school.
At Summerhill, we offer five separate classes designed to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages of development.
Classes run Monday to Friday, from 8:15 am to 2:00 pm.
We also provide an Extended Care Program, available daily until 6:00 pm, offering a convenient option for families where both parents work. This program creates a relaxed, supportive environment after school, with a variety of creative and nature-inspired activities.
In addition, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, we offer a wide range of after-school clubs and activities (ASP) for children from the K3 (Half Moon) Class upwards. Our younger children in K1–K2 (Sun Classes) can instead enjoy Extended Care until 6:00 pm.
