Hello everyone!

I’m Haruna, a Japanese teacher and admissions coordinator at Summerhill. I’ve been teaching since 2013 and joined Summerhill in 2018.

A little about myself: I’m from Tokyo, Japan, and spent my school years in Switzerland and the U.S. I graduated from university in Tokyo with a BA in English Literature. After earning my degree, I decided to return to the U.S. to further my education in early childhood education and become a preschool teacher.

Supporting children in their lifelong learning journey is what motivates and makes me happiest. I believe every child has a unique canvas and palette, and teachers are there to guide and support them as they create their own masterpieces. I can’t wait to share in the children’s wonderful and precious experiences with all of you!
