For this age group, we understand that it is often a child’s first time spending time away from their parents. We place great importance on making this transition as gentle and caring as possible. That’s why we have created a safe, cozy “home away from home” for our little ones.
Our Sun Program introduces children to a gently structured day filled with stimulating activities, group interactions, and opportunities to be curious as they begin to talk, walk, and explore.
Curriculum activities, projects, and explorations are rooted in real-world sensory experiences. Each day includes singing, dancing, laughing, playing, and exploring—both indoors and outdoors. These experiences nurture social interaction and help children develop essential early social skills.
Through play, children naturally discover and learn. It sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and lays the foundation for emergent literacy, numeracy, and inquiry skills in authentic and meaningful ways. The environment in our Sun classes encourages deep learning, creativity, and joyful exploration through play.
At Summerhill, we offer five separate classes designed to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages of development.
Classes run Monday to Friday, from 8:15 am to 2:00 pm.
We also provide an Extended Day Program, available daily until 5:00 pm, offering a convenient option for families where both parents work. This program creates a relaxed, supportive environment after school, with a variety of creative and nature-inspired activities.
In addition, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, we offer a wide range of after-school clubs and activities for children from the K3 (Half Moon) Class upwards. Our younger children in the K1–K2 (Sun) Classes can instead enjoy extended care until 5:00 pm.
